Belgian jewellery designer Karolin Van Loon has given her own twist to this trend by combining her signature agate geodes with South Sea pearls; known for its subtle satin shine and soft color.
Her latest collection Mythos is a lyrical jewellery collection based on Greek myths. The collection was inspired by the book Mythos by Stephen Fry. He brings the stories of the ancient Greeks to life and links them to contemporary society.
Karolin Van Loon was inspired by the storylines and characters, the layering and depth of Fry’s book. Her fascination led to designing her first pearl-incorporated collection – of which each jewel is named after a Greek goddess and pays homage to her story.
